What Next?
Each Adventure
Dive that you undertake as part of the
PADI Adventures in Diving
Programme, may
also be credited towards the first dive of each specific
Specialty (see
Specialty Diver courses). This means that with
many of the Specialties, you may only need to complete one further
additional dive to receive another diver qualification!
It's all part
of PADI's
modular approach to continuing education and improving diver knowledge
through dive experiences.
Once you have
gained at least five PADI Specialties, logged 50 or more dives and also
certified as a Rescue Diver - you can apply for the
prestigious
PADI
Master Scuba Diver
certification. This is PADI's highest level in recreational scuba diving and is
a reflection of your extensive dive experience in various diving situations.
Rescue
Diver? - Both the Open
Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver courses focus on developing your diver
skills. Rescue Divers learn how to look beyond themselves to consider the safety
and well-being of other divers (including your dive buddy).
To be a
Rescue Diver, it is essential that you are trained in
First Aid and Resuscitation (CPR). If you don't already hold a current
qualification,
Frog Squad
offer an extensive range of First Aid/CPR programmes (see
Emergency First Response)
