The
Scuba Try Dive is conducted in the safety of a swimming pool under the
guidance of a professional
PADI
Scuba Diving Instructor,
who will ensure your safety throughout the programme. You will have a
fantastic time swimming around the pool and breathing underwater, which
is an amazing experience for those who haven't tried it before.
It
also enables you to make an informed decision as to whether you wish to
enrol on the
PADI
Open Water Diver course.

We guarantee that you will have a fantastic time and will soon be hooked
on this exciting underwater pastime.
The
session will last for 1 hour and includes all your scuba equipment hire
- the only items that you will need are your swimming costume and an old
T-shirt (to protect your shoulders and keep you warm in the swimming
pool).
In a small group and under the guidance of a diving professional, you
will learn how to use scuba diving equipment and we
will teach you how to breathe underwater, clear water from your mask and
how to recover your regulator.
You will have a great time experimenting with buoyancy control and
swimming through the water almost weightlessly - just like an astronaut.
You can even use Diver Propulsion Vehicles (DPV) and be transported
through the water just like James Bond 007! |

Enrolment on Try Dive Scuba

Your ability to swim is obviously a requirement for any water based activity and
Frog Squad
will confirm that you meet this requirement before you commence any training in
the swimming pool. It is also essential that you complete a 'Medical Statement'
to confirm your fitness and suitability to scuba dive.
Advice on certain medical conditions can be obtained from our Instructors, who
may have to refer you to our specialist diving physician - although your family
doctor can usually confirm your fitness for scuba diving.
All equipment hire is included in the price of the programme (£20) - although we
do recommend that you purchase your own mask and snorkel (available from
Frog Squad).

What Next?
Once you have experienced this fascinating activity in the safety of a swimming
pool, you will be able to make an informed decision as to whether you feel ready
to enrol on the
PADI
Open Water Diver course.

Children
Kids can also enjoy the 'Try Dive Scuba Experience' and we use
equipment appropriate to their needs, which is
both lighter and smaller. The
PADI Bubblemaker
programme (8 and 9 years) is the junior
equivalent of the 'Try Dive' (10 years and over). We also offer the
PADI Seal Team
programme, which is designed specifically for children and keeps children
actively diving until such time as they are old enough to
enrol on the
PADI
Open Water Diver course.
