This course provides training to
develop the
necessary skills to confidently and safely administer oxygen
as soon as possible
following diving accidents,
which significantly increases the chances of the patient making a full
recovery.
It
is invaluable for Rescue Divers or
Divemasters and covers the theory and
practice of O2 Emergency Oxygen Provision for
diving related injuries involving
suspected decompression illness (DCI) including; decompression
sickness (the bends), barotraumas, arterial gas embolism and
near drowning incidents.

There are no prerequisites to take the course, as long as a person is old
enough to successfully complete all the stated performance requirements. The
skills integrate well with other courses designed to help divers in need (Rescue
Diver and Emergency First Response) - but is also
excellent for boat captains and lifeguards etc
